The Museum, thanks to the immense naturalistic heritage that you can find in it, place itself among the most important science museums for the richness of the collections that are the proof of four centuries of research at the University of Pisa.
The heritage includes mineralogical, zoological and geological- paleontological areas, for a total of more than 520,000 samples. The Museum make an important educational activity with local schools and offers thematic paths for groups and families.
